Pastors P. O. & Barbara Rodgers were ordained on June 10th, 1990 at Victory Christian Fellowship Center, in Greenville, NC. Since then Pastors Rodgers' ministry has grown from the living room of their home to the facility located at 1246 Pollock Street. Pastor P. O. Rodgers was a New Bern Police officer for 32 years before retiring in June of 2000. In his stint at New Bern PD, he moved up through the ranks faster than any other officer on the force. He retired as the first black Deputy Chief of Police. Pastor Rodgers has a style of ministering all his own. He is a profound teacher of the gospel. He gives the word in such a simple form that even the children in the ministry can easily understand and apply the Word to their lives.
Pastor Barbara Rodgers was the personnel director of a local manufacturing plant until its doors closed in 1993 at which time she launched into full-time ministry. She is the Director of Dayspring School-Age Center. This program originated in August of 1995 and as grown to accommodate up to 50 children. Under the leadership and education of Pastor Barbara, Dayspring School-Age Center is the only stand alone Afterschool Program in Craven County with a Five-Star rated license. Pastor Barbara is an anointed prophet of God and she walks in the gift of healing as the Lord uses her.Together Pastors P.
